Welcome to Mustavaara

The diverse and family-friendly slopes of Mustavaara offer great skiing opportunities for skiers of all levels. The slopes are about half an hour drive from the center of Joensuu. There are also two warm huts and cross-country ski trails in the area with amazing scenery.

Mustavaara started in December 1986.

The ski center, which has been operating as a family business since 1986, has offered a wide range of recreation opportunities for winter sports enthusiasts of all ages.

The skiing resort has been developed over the years according to customer needs.

The comfort of skiers has been increased by modifying the profile of the slopes, expanding the facilities of the equipment rental shop and the café, increasing the lighting of the slopes and investing in their safety. In recent years, we have paid attention to energy efficiency and environment.

The center hosts several different events during the season.

Both family and business events usually take place during the spring season.

Mustavaara offers a place for training

Joensuun Pujottelijat Ry and North Carelia Ski Club, which specialize in alpine skiing in Eastern Finland, also train on the slopes of Mustavaara. Mustavaara also offers a good setting for paragliding. Contact the Finnish Paragliding Club, tel. 050-3474533 and ask for more information!
